10 Entrepreneurial Quotes That Will Inspire You To Start Your Own Company

· Motivation

1. Alex Honnold

I chose this quote after watching the documentary The Dawn Wall. The movie focuses on Alex’s obsession to scale El Capitan in Yosemite National Park without rope or safety equipment.

2. Russell Brand

Every entrepreneur experiences moments when they feel the world is watching them. They are in the spotlight. They are pitching to investors. They are in the media. I love this quote because he is removing the idea that people are watching us.

3. Lady Gaga

As an entrepreneur, you can’t forget your roots. Remember who helped you get there and what you had to do to make it. The media will paint a picture that you often don’t like. Social media will tell a story. But only YOU know who YOU are.

4. Felix Baumgartner

When I learned that Felix was planning to ascend into the stratosphere in a helium balloon and then jump to Earth, I was hooked. His rise to the edge of space took an eternity. His plummet to Earth was faster. Instant hero status.

5. J.K. Rowling

It is easy to feel helpless as an entrepreneur. We are isolated, at times in a pre-revenue state and wondering how to keep the lights on. Success is not guaranteed, yet we hang onto the idea of this. This quote always fills me with hope and optimism.

6. Henry Ford

A classic quote in the world of business and American entrepreneurship. What we learn from this: everyone has their opinion but only you have the power to bring your vision to life. How much do you want it?

7. Michelle Obama

As entrepreneurs and human beings, the journey doesn’t end. We never stop learning. You will suffer a business that crashes. You might have a big hit. Every time you start again, you reset. Be humble. Stay hungry.

8. Nelson Mandela

Think big. Start small. Nelson Mandela fought against apartheid in his home country. He was wrongly jailed. He was President of South Africa. He was an Ambassador for the human spirit.

9. Grace Murray Hopper

Probably one of the most well known entrepreneurial quotes of all time. Break things. Make things. Then get out there and change the world.

10. Philippe Petit

My personal favorite quote of all time. To tightrope walk between the World Trade Center towers in New York City and not die is epic enough. To deliver this inspiring quote defines a legacy.
